Job summary

UK Management College is seeking an App Developer to build and maintain the Career App for Android and iOS. You will work with the Career App Lead Developer and campus teams to ensure reliable delivery as the app expands across cohorts and campuses.

The role covers mobile, server and cloud services (Azure), handling student data to high confidentiality, and advancing AI features and ML models that aid student employability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or closely related field.
• Experience building and releasing mobile applications to Android and iOS.
• Experience building web APIs with Python and Django and a relational database (PostgreSQL).
• Practical AI/ML experience including agentic AI with LLMs and training/evaluating models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain features across the mobile app (React Native, TypeScript) and server (Python, Django).
• Design, implement and evaluate AI features using large language models with safe tool use.
• Prepare and curate data, train and monitor ML models for job/skills matching.
• Diagnose defects and improve performance, accessibility, security and reliability.
• Produce automated tests and clear technical docs; participate in peer code reviews.
