Job summary

Tesco UK is seeking a Mobile Analytics Engineer to design, build and maintain a shared analytics library for native mobile apps. The role focuses on Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS, creating reusable SDK components and aligning with Android, iOS, Product and Data teams to deliver reliable analytics.

You will implement analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics and GA4, while defining QA and documentation practices to improve data quality and team efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience building native mobile apps (Android/iOS).
• Experience designing reusable mobile libraries, SDKs or shared components.
• Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, dependencies, releases and versioning.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, performant code with automated tests and peer reviews.
• Experience debugging analytics events across mobile development, test and production.
• Clear communication with engineers, product managers, analysts and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain a shared analytics library for native mobile apps (Kotlin/Swift).
• Create reusable, well-tested mobile SDK components for consistent analytics adoption.
• Partner with Android, iOS, Product, Data and Analytics teams to translate tracking needs into technical solutions.
• Support integration of analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, GA4) in mobile apps.
• Define QA processes: unit/integration tests, event validation, measurement verification, UAT.
• Document library usage, release processes and troubleshooting guidance for developers.
• Resolve cross-platform engineering challenges and improve data quality and efficiency.
