Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced building services technician to manage planned and reactive maintenance, focusing on air conditioning and related equipment in a commercial occupied environment. You will operate across Bristol, with core hours 08:00 to 16:30 and be part of the out-of-hours on-call rota.

The role requires strong knowledge of method statements, risk assessments and safety legislation, delivering high standards of service, tracking tasks in CAFM,

Qualifications

• Qualified in heating and ventilation/air conditioning.
• Experience executing PPMs in line with SFG20 or equivalent with advanced fault finding.
• Capable of reactive repairs with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work follows method statements, risk assessments and NG Bailey safety procedures.
• Deliver PPM tasks and reactive works within service levels to meet KPIs.
• Keep site documentation up to date for audits.
• Supervise subcontractors for H&S compliance when required.
• Undertake overtime when needed to complete works.
• Manage minor works carried out by others.
• Use CAFM system to provide accurate service information.
• Demonstrate strong health and safety knowledge for safe delivery of work.
• Ensure operations comply with internal and external regulations.
• Work independently and manage reactive works by others.
• Complete required documentation, job sheets and certificates.
• Core hours 0800-16:30, on-call for emergencies.

Job description

You will provide an exceptional high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service. You can be based in either Birmingham, Bristol, Swindon, Cambridge Region You will deliver PPM relating primarily to air conditioning and related equipment in-line with agreed programmes / SLA's in order to meet client and statutory compliance. You will cost and complete reactive works identified through PPM work undertaken when requested and provide service support as part of a team providing quality service delivery 24/7.,

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure work is undertaken in line with specific method statements & risk assessments and relevant safety legislation and NG Bailey health and safety systems and procedures.
• Provide excellent service delivery by ensuring PPM tasks and reactive works are completed within contractual service level agreements to meet KPI's.
• Ensure that all applicable site documentation is kept up to date as this will be regularly audit either by internal or external parties.
• Assist with supervision of sub-contractor works ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable H&S standards when required
• Required to undertake overtime where works cannot be performed during non-working hours
• Manage the completion of minor works carried out by others
• Utilise the clients CAFM system so that accurate information is provide related to our service provision
• Demonstrate appropriate health & safety knowledge to ensure safe delivery of all work.
• Ensure that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with internal regulations and external legislation governing the business operations.
• Capable of working independently and when requested managing reactive works carried out by others.
• Complete all required documentation, job sheets and certificates.
• Core hours are 0800-16.30 Monday to Friday, with a requirement to be part of the out of hours emergency call out team.

Key Qualifications

• Qualification and experience in heating & ventilation/air conditioning
• Worked on various manufacturers systems, carrying out PPM's in line with SFG20 or equivalent with advanced fault finding diagnostic experience.
• Capable of undertaking Reactive Repairs with minimal supervision.

• IOSH Working / Managing Safely
• Safe system of Work Procedure - PTW; RAMS etc
• L8 Training
