Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician for a mobile role across the Midlands and West Midlands. The position covers installation, servicing and breakdown response, with a focus on high standards and customer service. A full driving licence and strong fault-finding skills are essential.

Qualifications

• C&G Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or NVQ equivalent.
• F-Gas certified.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in refrigeration/air-conditioning servicing.
• Strong fault-finding and root-cause analysis skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• IT literate (Word, Excel, PDA).

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems and components.
• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requirements and urgent breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults across Split, Twin, Multi and VRF/VRV systems.
• Repair and replace defective components on AC and refrigeration systems.
• Provide clear verbal and written reports following completed works.
• Complete accurate weekly timesheets.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure effective service delivery.
