Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer for a large Northwest facilities team across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire. You will maintain and repair AC installations, diagnose faults, and operate CAFM and BMS systems, completing certifications and recording real-time data on work performed.

The role requires FGas certification, a trade qualification in AC engineering, and a full clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• FGas certification is required.
• Trade qualification in AC engineering preferred.
• Full, clean driving licence is essential.
• Legionella and asbestos awareness are advantageous.
• Proficiency with CAFM systems and BMS is desirable.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair AC installations and systems.
• Diagnose faults with strong fault-finding skills.
• Carry out installation work and complete certifications.
• Operate and interrogate BMS/CAFM systems in real time.
• Ensure PPMs are completed and documented on time.
• Complete required paperwork and E-forms for maintenance tasks.
• Update CAFM with job details and times; liaise with line manager.
• Be proactive in highlighting site improvements and manage reactive tasks.
• Participate in on-call rota.

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

Northwest - Lancashire - Greater Manchester - Yorkshire

£38,600 + Van and Fuel Card

Brief

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer needed for a well-known, large Facilities Management company based in the Northwest who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of Air Conditioning, using CAFM systems, carrying out PPM's and reactive tasks, diagnostics and fault finding works.

The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification - i.e. FGas Certification etc. And have a keen interest in HVAC Engineering.

What the role entails:

• Maintenance and repair of AC Installations
• Excellent fault finding and diagnosis skills a must
• Carry out Installation work and complete appropriate Certification
• Operation and interrogation of BMS
• Basic knowledge in building fabric repairs
• Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator. Complete supplementary documentation / E-Forms relating to the maintenance task as dictated by your line manager
• Update customers CAFM system in real time with start/wait/stop completion times and provide full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required
• Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager. This is to be indicated and recorded within the CAFM system
• Participate in on-call rota

What experience you need to be the successful Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer:

• FGas certification essential
• Trade qualified AC Engineer with appropriate post apprenticeship experience desirable.
• Must have a full clean drivers' licence.
• Legionella awareness (preferable - can provide training)
• Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential)
• MEWP Licence (preferable but not essential)
• First aid trained (preferable but not essential)
• Computer literate
• Able to deal diplomatically with the client's demanding personnel
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Physically fit
• Fluent in English both written and oral.
