Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities management contractor in the UK. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with F-gas regulations and industry standards.

Based in Warrington and able to travel between sites, you will diagnose faults, perform leak testing, complete documentation and adhere to health and safety procedures while supporting the wider team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma and NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems.
• F-gas Category 1 certification.
• Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Clear communication skills and ability to report on equipment condition.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and relevant standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Perform refrigerant leak testing and recovery.
• Complete all required documentation related to maintenance and compliance.
• Work in line with health and safety procedures.
• Liaise with clients and contractors; provide guidance to junior engineers.

As the Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, will be responsible for:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites
• Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
• Perform refrigerant leak testing and recovery
• Complete all required documentation related to maintenance and compliance
• Work in line with health and safety procedures
• Liaise effectively with clients, customers, and contractors
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team as needed

To be successful for this Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer role you must have:

• Strong technical background including a Level 3 Diploma and relevant NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems
• F-gas Category 1 certification
• Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
