Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to service a Rugby/South Birmingham region portfolio of commercial sites. You’ll perform PPM on AC and refrigeration, diagnose faults, and carry out reactive repairs with a focus on safety and compliance. You’ll work within a 50-mile radius with occasional national travel.

A valid F-Gas qualification and NVQ Level 3 are required, along with a full UK driving licence. The role offers autonomy, a company van and fuel card.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing commercial air conditioning systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnosing faults and undertaking reactive repairs across commercial environments.
• Servicing and maintaining split, VRV/VRF, multi-split, and ventilation systems.
• Replacing components and carrying out minor installation works where required.
• Completing service reports, F-Gas documentation, and compliance records accurately.
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing professional technical advice.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with current regulations and company standards.
• Supporting colleagues and occasionally travelling nationally to assist with projects.

We're looking for a skilled Mobile AC Engineer to support a range of client locations across the Rugby and South Birmingham area. You'll typically operate within a 50-mile radius, although occasional national travel may be required to support wider business needs.
