Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking an MLOps Engineer to turn pricing models and data science work into reliable production workflows in a hybrid UK setting (Leicester, Bexhill, London). You’ll own MLOps components, work with Pricing, Data Science, Data Engineering, and governance stakeholders, and help productionise models while maintaining high standards in a regulated environment.

You’ll focus on Python, SQL, automation, and good engineering practice, with exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL in data/ML contexts.
• Experience building ML/data pipelines and reusable code.
• Understanding of ML fundamentals and supervised learning.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and productionise ML pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Data Science, and ML teams to ensure testable, auditable pipelines.
• Automate steps to improve quality, speed, and governance of models and data.
