Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to turn models into production-grade services powering customer and operational experiences. You will bridge software engineering, MLOps, and data science to build scalable pipelines and APIs deployed at enterprise scale.

You will work with Data Scientists to move experiments into robust solutions, design CI/CD pipelines, model lifecycles, and monitoring. Hybrid work with 3 days at Redditch centre.

Qualifications

• Proven experience deploying ML solutions into production environments.
• Strong version control practices (Git, branching, release management).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and MLOps frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Transition models from experimentation into scalable, production-ready applications.
• Design, build, and maintain MLOps pipelines and automated model lifecycle processes.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for ML solutions.
• Build APIs, services, and patterns to embed ML into business systems.
• Implement monitoring, drift detection, and automated retraining capabilities.
• Work with Azure Databricks and related platforms for enterprise ML workloads.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and Developers.
