Job summary

Academics is seeking an MLD Assistant in Wantage to support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties. The role focuses on 1:1 and small group help, fostering confidence, independence, and communication within a secondary school setting.

Ideal candidates are psychology or education graduates who want practical experience before pursuing psychology, education, or SEN careers. Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, full-time, pay £93–£110 per day, ASAP start.

Qualifications

• 1:1 and small group support for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
• Help students build confidence, independence, and communication skills for active learning.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to maintain an inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students with MLD.
• Help students develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and active participation in learning.
• Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, and engagement throughout the school day.
• Work alongside teachers to promote a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
