Job summary

Academics in Wantage is seeking an MLD Assistant to support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties in a secondary school. Ideal for graduates in psychology or education who want practical experience before pursuing careers in psychology, education, or SEN.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, help students build confidence and communication, and collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive classroom. Role is full-time, starts ASAP, hours 8:30am-3:30pm, pay £93-£110 per day.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Psychology or Education with interest in SEN.
• Experience supporting students with learning needs is a plus.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with MLD.
• Support development of confidence, independence and communication.
• Collaborate with teachers to promote inclusive learning.
• Monitor and observe student progress and wellbeing.
