Job summary

TripAdvisor’s Group Machine Learning Team seeks an experienced ML II Scientist to join a fast-paced group supporting marketing initiatives. You will develop models for bidding, customer modeling, experimentation, and revenue optimization while deploying online and observing real-time impact.

You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers, taking ownership of projects and exploring new AI opportunities with a strong emphasis on communication and measurable results.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field preferred.
• Strong background in ML and statistics.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical/statistical programming (NumPy/Pandas/Scikit-learn).
• Ability to interpret and write complex SQL queries.
• Experience with big data tech such as Hive and Spark.
• Track record of deploying and maintaining models.

Responsibilities

• Use ML models to solve core marketing problems across channels.
• Design AB tests and analyze results.
• Prototype, evaluate, deploy and maintain ML models in production.
• Automate ETL pipelines and analyze data at scale.
• Communicate progress to technical and business stakeholders.
