Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Machine Learning Intern to design, train and improve cutting-edge models and deploy scalable training pipelines. You will work with senior ML staff and product teams while exploring novel research ideas.

Ideal candidates are students in a post-secondary program with Python and ML framework experience, and a passion for applied NLP. This internship offers remote-friendly work, a generous benefits package, and opportunities across offices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, TF-Serving, JAX and XLA/MLIR.
• Experience with large-scale distributed training strategies.
• Familiarity with autoregressive sequence models, such as Transformers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A demonstrated passion for applied NLP models and products.
• Bonus: CUDA kernels, TPU training, papers at top venues.

Responsibilities

• Design, train and improve cutting-edge models.
• Develop techniques to train and serve models safer, better and faster.
• Train extremely large-scale models on massive datasets.
• Explore continual and active learning for streaming data.
• Learn from senior ML staff and collaborate with product teams.
