Job summary

Cohere is hiring a Software Engineering Intern to help build the next generation of NLP products. You will work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure areas, with ownership over meaningful components and production-ready code.

We welcome students enrolled in post-secondary programs for a 3–6 month internship. The role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to real-world systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program.
• Available for a full-time 3–6 month internship, co-op or research work term.

Responsibilities

• Ship delightful experiences for user-facing features, including frontend and server code.
• Build features for the API platform that directly impact users.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines (crawlers, storage, filters).
• Develop scalable services or infrastructure for ML development.
• Create internal tooling (CI/CD, dev utilities) to move faster.
• Contribute to technical docs to improve writing skills and knowledge sharing.
• Adopt new technologies to improve performance and reliability.
