Job summary

PureGym Limited is seeking an engineer to take machine learning models from notebook to reliable, scalable production services, owning deployment, monitoring and retraining across the model estate. You will build reusable components, tooling and standards to ship models faster and more cost-effectively, working closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to shape how we do MLOps at PureGym.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL skills with software engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience taking ML models into production and supporting them live.
• Experience with MLflow or similar model lifecycle tooling.
• Experience building or working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Degree in Computing, Engineering or another quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the path to production for ML models including packaging, deployment, release management and rollback.
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines for models and data science code with automated testing and gates.
• Monitor data drift, model performance and pipeline health with alerting and runbooks.
• Automate recurring model runs, retraining and scoring to free Data Scientists for new work.
• Create reusable production components from model definitions on the semantic layer.
• Help define and evolve MLOps standards including versioning and documentation.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on upstream pipelines and with Data Scientists on model design.
• Participate in code reviews and coach Data Scientists in software engineering best practices.
• Monitor cost and performance of the model estate and improve efficiency.
• Shape how ML engineering is done at PureGym and develop scalable patterns.
