Job summary

Roche is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to implement infrastructure that unlocks scientific data and accelerates discovery of treatments. You will work at the intersection of computational engineering and biology, partnering with scientists, ML experts, and DevOps engineers to put AI tools into the hands of researchers.

This role is based in Welwyn, with onsite work three days per week. You will own features end-to-end from evaluation to production, shaping architecture and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience in machine learning engineering and building scalable data systems.
• Strong testing, clean code and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement infrastructure to unlock scientific data and accelerate discovery.
• Build tools to evaluate AI/ML model performance and measure AI quality.
• Own features end-to-end from model evaluation to production deployment.
• Collaborate with scientists, ML experts and DevOps to deploy AI tools.
