Job summary

The Parish Support Team at the Diocese of Norwich is seeking an organised Administrator & Bookkeeper to support day-to-day operations from Easton, Norwich. The role includes diary management, meeting preparation and documentation across church, school and chaplaincy networks.

Hybrid working is available (up to two days per week from home). The post is part-time, term-time with a view to permanence, and offers a supportive environment with scope for professional growth within a purpose-driven

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative, coordination or operational support role.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience coordinating meetings and events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience producing accurate minutes, reports and documentation.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake day-to-day administration relating to Cathedral Choirs and Liturgy/Music Department.
  • Provide diary management, correspondence and general administrative support.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, training sessions and events.
  • Prepare agendas, papers and accurate meeting minutes.
  • Maintain project documentation and records.
  • Support data collection, monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Assist with communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Update STREAMS webpages and digital content with communications colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support, including diary management and correspondence.
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, training sessions and events.
  • Preparing agendas, papers and accurate meeting minutes.
  • Maintaining project documentation, action logs and programme records.
  • Supporting data collection, monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Assisting with communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Updating STREAMS webpages and digital content alongside communications colleagues.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for enquiries.
  • Supporting outreach activities and visits across the Diocese.

Job Summary: To undertake the day-to-day administration relating to the Cathedral Choirs, and to support the smooth running of the Liturgy and Music Department

Contract: Part Time, Permanent, Term-Time only (39 weeks per year) plus two weeks (41 weeks per year)
Salary: £7,535 per annum

Hours: The post is 12 hours per week during Choir Term Times (39 weeks per year).
