Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to help deliver our products into live operation across the UK. You will work on customer sites, commissioning, upgrading and supporting NEC solutions within data centres and hosted environments.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, Windows server and AD skills, and experience with virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware) and databases. You will collaborate with multiple teams to meet delivery deadlines and maintain safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory/domain architecture.
• Proven experience administering Windows 11 and Windows Server up to 2022.
• Proven experience deploying Windows and server operating systems.
• Working knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL and backups/queries.
• Experience with virtualization environments (Hyper-V or VMware).
• MS Office applications (Excel/Visio/Word).
• Experience following ITIL best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, Commissioning, and upgrades of NEC bespoke Communications/CAD solutions into customer environments or Hosted Data Centres.
• Fault finding across hardware and software levels of NEC product suite.
• Create, review, and update NEC Engineering documentation (workplans, work instructions, technical guides).
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and complete tasks on time.
• Travel to customer sites; work across various locations with potential overnight stays.
• Interact with customers on technical and non-technical levels with professionalism.
• Work both in teams and autonomously as projects require, increasing autonomy with experience.
• Adhere to NEC processes and procedures; report any delivery difficulties.
