Sussex Police is seeking a dedicated professional to join our forcewide team, focusing on missing person investigations and safeguarding vulnerable individuals. You will provide expert guidance and support to improve investigation outcomes and maintain high professional standards.
You will review cases, shape force policy, assess risks, and collaborate with partner agencies to promote safeguarding approaches and learning opportunities across the organisation.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

In this role you will:
Play a key role in improving how Surrey Police responds to missing people, helping to ensure vulnerable individuals receive the best possible service and protection. You will provide expert advice and guidance on missing person investigations, reviewing cases to identify good practice, learning opportunities and areas for improvement.
Working closely with colleagues across policing and partner organisations, you will help shape force policy, influence standards and promote effective safeguarding approaches. You will research emerging trends, assess risks and support the development of training and organisational learning to ensure our response remains professional, consistent and focused on protecting those most at risk.
