Job summary

MBDA UK Limited is seeking a Mechanical Architect to join the Missile Architecture team in Stevenage. The role covers development, obsolescence, in-service support, and hardware coordination on a high-profile programme, reporting to the Lead Mechanical Architect.

You will develop requirements with stakeholders, resolve mechanical issues and manage verification and certification activities to support product acceptance and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience across mechanical design, stress/thermal analyses and product certification expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture activities for development, obsolescence, in-service support and hardware coordination.
• Coordinate hardware provisioning, test planning and supplier interaction.
• Contribute to design reviews (PDR/DDR/CDR) and ensure schedule, cost and quality targets.
• Develop interface specifications and manage risk mitigation strategies.
• Support engineering lifecycle processes and ensure documentation integrity.
