Job summary

Thrive Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Head of Management Information Systems (MIS), Timetabling & Admissions in Plymouth. This pivotal role leads three teams and shapes data, systems, and analytics to drive organisational excellence and student success.

The role oversees student data, statutory returns, timetabling, and admissions while driving automation, reporting, and BI across the organisation. A strategic leader with FE funding knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience managing MIS or data systems in a large organisation.
• In-depth understanding of FE funding structures and reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in timetabling and admissions management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and develop MIS, Timetabling, and Admissions teams.
• Oversee all student data and statutory funding returns (ESFA, HESA, OfS).
• Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness across systems.
• Drive automation and innovation to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
• Deliver high-quality timetables and a seamless admissions experience.
• Lead the reporting and analytics function, providing actionable insights for strategic growth.
• Shape the use of business intelligence and system automation to drive continuous improvement.
