Job summary

Bradford College invites applications for an MIS Officer in the Adult Skills Department. The role focuses on accurate processing of student details, enrolments, timetables and course setup to support funding and audit requirements.

You will work with the Head of Department to ensure timetables and records are up to date, adhering to policies and procedures across the College. Strong IT skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • GCSE level 2 in Maths or equivalent.

  • Experience of administration in a diverse organisation.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to utilise IT, including Microsoft Office applications.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Adult Skills Department as an MIS Officer.

Our MIS Officers are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of data relating to student details, enrolments, timetables, course set up and planning data.

The role is front-facing and supports the Head of Department and Head of School to ensure that all data is processed within the guidelines set out by various Funding Agencies, audit regulators and the College's various Policies and Procedures.

The role will work collaboratively with various cross-college departments.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities Include
  • To support the Head of Department with the processing of data during the Business Planning cycle.
  • Create and maintain an accurate course Masterfile for the department.
  • Work closely with cross-college departments to ensure an excellent student administration service.
  • To have an in-depth understanding of funding and audit rules as defined by relevant agencies.
  • To understand the College Fee Policy and how it applies to students.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of student withdraws and transfers in line with the College Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that timetables are accurately recorded on the system and students are on the correct registers.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the student record reflects curriculum delivery. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Delivery dates
  • Learning Aims
  • Funding Category
  • Enrolment status
  • Achievement records
  • Responsible for correcting ILR and/or audit errors in a timely manner.
  • Support the Admissions & Enrolment Team with the processing of student enrolments.
  • Responsible for maintaining any electronic or paper-based information stored by the department for funding and audit purposes.
  • Be the Department's primary contact for all student data-related queries.

Education & Training
  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale
