Job summary

Abatec is recruiting for a proactive and commercially aware Highways Minor Works Supervisor to join a highways contract in Stroudwater, Gloucestershire.

You will supervise minor works, lead operational teams and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably and to the required standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate structural maintenance and improvement works
• Manage operational teams and subcontractors including onboarding and delivering works safely and efficiently
• Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with the client
• Plan and allocate resources to meet programme deadlines
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards
• Review and manage RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented
• Carry out site inspections and audits
• Monitor performance against productivity and KPI targets
• Cost & Value works accurately
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication
• Promote a strong health & safety culture across all works

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate structural maintenance and improvement works

• Early Contactor Involvement (ECI) with the client.

Person Specification

• Experience in Supervising teams in the construction, highways or a similar sector is preferrable.
• Construction Supervision, Highways Maintenance or a related discipline is desirable
• An understanding of CDM roles and responsibilities.
