Job summary

AB Agri Ltd in Northallerton is seeking a Mill Operative to run press lines and support the mill’s daily production. You will work across shifts, ensuring quality, safety and efficient stock handling while contributing to continuous improvement and project work within the mill team.

The role requires experience in production, familiarity with automated plant equipment, and a willingness to work in a noisy, warm environment. The package includes a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in production environments, preferably food/agriculture.
• Experience with automated plant machinery.
• Able to multi-skill and adapt to mill needs.
• Proficient with MS Office (Teams & Excel).
• Comfortable in noisy, dusty, warm conditions.

Responsibilities

• Run and monitor press lines to meet KPIs.
• Ensure quality and feed safety during production.
• Maintain clean stations and general hygiene.
• Record materials and stock data for planning and deliveries.
• Support maintenance teams and assist with basic tasks.
• Assist with mill-wide projects and ad-hoc work.
