Job summary

The Royal Air Force General Practitioner role offers a unique defence primary care service, delivering acute and chronic care with MDT colleagues, in fixed and deployed centres at home and overseas. You will undertake aviation medicine training, leadership, and opportunities in occupational health and public health, with a clear career path and professional development.

Applicants must have MRCGP and GMC registration, strong teaching skills, and be prepared for on-call aviation medicine duties

Qualifications

• Must hold MRCGP and be registered with the GMC, with evidence of appraisal and revalidation.
• MDT working experience and delivery of acute and chronic care in a primary care setting.
• Experience with face-to-face and virtual consultations; clinical governance and teaching are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work as an RAF GP in Defence Primary Care practices, with postings at home and overseas.
• Deliver care in a blended environment with military, civilian, and attached NHS staff.
• Participate in aviation medicine training and ongoing professional development.
