Job Title: Mild Steel Welder / Fabricator

Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm (Flexible start from 6:00am; early Friday finish)

Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Mild Steel Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team in Leicester. This is a hands-on role working with both structural steelwork and architectural metalwork including steel frames, staircases, balustrades, and canopies. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication, with the opportunity for permanent employment and pay review based on experience.

Key Duties:

* Fabricate steel structures from engineering drawings

* MIG welding of mild steel components

* Assemble and fit structural and architectural steelwork

* Operate cutting, drilling, and bending machinery

* Conduct quality checks to ensure fabrication accuracy

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

* Proven experience in mild steel welding and fabrication

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* NVQ Level 2 in Fabrication & Welding (preferred)

* CSCS card (advantageous but not essential)

* Good attention to detail and accuracy

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
