Job description

Are you a skilled Fabricator Welder looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Our client, a leading manufacturer of recycling equipment, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team in Alfreton.

If you are passionate about welding, enjoy working with a variety of steel thicknesses, and are eager to contribute your skills to a company that values its employees, this position could be your ideal fit.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding mild steel, ranging from 2mm up to 30mm in thickness, using the MIG welding process.
  2. Accurately follow engineering drawings and specifications to ensure the highest quality of work.
  3. Build subcomponents using jigs and then fit them to pre-assembled machine skeletons, contributing to the production of recycling equipment.
  4. Operate saws and overhead cranes efficiently and safely as part of your daily tasks.
  5. Engage in basic mechanical work when required, with full training provided.
  6. Work closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor and other team members to meet production goals.
  7. Maintain a high level of conscientiousness and attention to detail to ensure the quality and safety of the products.
  8. Be prepared for a fast-paced work environment where adaptability and flexibility are key.
Benefits:
  1. Starting pay of £13.75 per hour.
  2. 4 day working week (6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday). Overtime available Fridays.
  3. 20 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) per year, with the potential to increase to 25 days based on your years of service.
