Job description

Job Title: Production Welder

We are seeking a skilled Production Welder to join a world-leading manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa on a permanent basis.

The company specializes in heavy-duty vehicles and is looking to expand its team with experienced welders skilled in MIG welding.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform production welding using jigs and fixtures to produce MIG welded components.
  2. Weld mild steels of varying thicknesses from 3mm to 15mm.
  3. Operate overhead cranes and work at heights safely.
  4. Conduct continuous welds on larger materials.
  5. Utilize hand tools, sanders, and grinders effectively.
  6. Perform daily and weekly TMP checks, raising issues as needed.
  7. Ensure quality control by verifying products against engineering drawings.
  8. Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
  9. Work efficiently within stringent timeframes and tolerances.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience in a production environment with MIG welding.
  • Proficiency in welding heavier gauge materials and larger length welds, from inches to feet.
  • Experience with heavier gauge steel welding.
  • Familiarity with handheld tools.
Benefits:

In return, the successful candidate will receive a salary of £32,000 per annum for day shifts.
