Job summary

Newfield Fabrications Co. in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Fabricator/MIG Welder to join our growing steel fabrication team. You will MIG weld, interpret drawings, and assemble metal structures while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You should be comfortable working from engineering drawings, using hand and power tools, and willing to train on rotating shifts (6-2 and 2-10). A proactive, quality-focused attitude is essential for ongoing production and defect prevention.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG welding and comfortable reading engineering drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and basic mechanical principles.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• TIG welding knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various metal components.

We’re looking for experienced Fabricators/MIG Welders to join our team and help us keep production running smoothly. If you take pride in producing quality work, enjoy working with your hands, and have experience fabricating metal components using MIG techniques, we’d like to hear from you.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform MIG welding on various metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and other data to be used in the preparation of the product to be manufactured, carry out dimensional inspection prior to welding.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures.
• Communicate potential risk to quality and efficiency to your team leader.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products.
• Follow safety guidelines, carry out safety checks and maintain a clean work environment.
• Initially working day shift whilst in training, then opportunity for shift working (rotating 6-2 and 2-10).

What We’re Looking For

• Proficient in MIG welding techniques.
• Confident in your ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles.
• Competent in using hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with TIG welding is advantageous.
