Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator who can weld and fabricate from scratch using MIG on mild steel. The role combines workshop fabrication (70%) with occasional local-site welding (30%), no overnight stays.

You will read engineering drawings, work with 3mm-15mm material, and support a busy range of bespoke projects for Severn Trent Water. Overtime paid at time and a third; benefits include 20 days holiday and pension.

Qualifications

• Proven MIG welding experience on mild steel across 3mm–15mm.
• Fabrication from scratch and reading engineering drawings.
• Comfortable working in a small fabrication team.

Responsibilities

• Welding and fabricating from scratch to produce made-to-order items.
• Work on Severn Trent Water projects and bespoke fabrications.
• Predominantly MIG welding with some site work.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to specification.
• Handle 3mm–15mm material, primarily 90% mild steel.
• Local site work within Nottinghamshire; travel by company van.
