Terry Parris Associates in Marden, Kent, is recruiting two MIG Welders on a temp-to-perm basis to support production and reduce backlog. You will perform MIG welding on production components and carry out basic fabrication from engineering drawings, ensuring parts are secured and finished to spec.

The role requires recent MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting, the ability to read drawings, safe use of welding equipment, and attention to quality.

Qualifikationen

• Recent practical MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Basic fabrication skills including preparation, positioning, securing, grinding and finishing.
• Confident, safe use of MIG welding equipment and workshop tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect each component.
• Good hand-eye coordination and focus on quality.

Aufgaben

• Read engineering drawings and specifications, and plan the welding sequence.
• Set up tools and equipment safely for each job.
• Lay out, position and secure parts to the required specification.
• Complete MIG welds in flat, vertical and horizontal positions.
• Use templates, jigs or aids to hold parts where required.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and identify maintenance needs.
• Inspect equipment, structures and materials for defects.
• Meet production times and quality standards following site procedures and safety rules.
