Job summary

MID WALES MANUFACTURING GROUP in the United Kingdom is hiring a Welder/Fabricator to join our workshop team. You will perform MIG welding on metal from 3mm to 40mm, interpret drawings, and ensure weld quality while maintaining safety standards.

You should have a Level 2 Welding & Fabrication certification or equivalent, with proven fabrication/welding experience. Skills in band saws, pillar drills and welder setup are needed; stainless TIG welding is a plus and forklift training is

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Welding & Fabrication certification.
• Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using band saws, pillar drills, and welder setup.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
• Previous forklift training is advantageous.
• Experience with Stainless Steel TIG welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding operations on materials ranging from 3mm to 40mm in thickness.
• Utilize strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes.
• Follow and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Inspect welds to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Coded welding experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Hourly Rate: £13.50-£16 per hour (dependent on experience)
