Recruit4staff are representing an established engineering and manufacturing business in their search for a Welder/Fabricator to work in Newtown. You will carry out MIG welding and fabrication on materials ranging from 3mm to 40mm in thickness, manufacturing a wide range of forklift and telehandler attachments and other industrial products.

You will also inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy and a high standard of workmanship, with start times varying and a 39-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience working as a Welder/Fabricator or in a similar welding and fabrication role.
• Proficient in the use of band saws and pillar drills.
• Confident setting up and operating welding equipment.
• MIG welding experience across a range of material thicknesses.
• Minimum Level 2 Welding & Fabrication qualification.
• Ability to inspect completed work and maintain high standards of quality.

Aufgaben

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication on materials ranging from 3mm to 40mm in thickness.
• Manufacture and weld forklift and telehandler attachments and other industrial products, including bespoke customer work.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy and high workmanship standards.
• Set up welding equipment and maintain safe working practices.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Confident setting up and operating welding equipment
• MIG welding experience across a range of material thicknesses
• Minimum Level 2 Welding & Fabrication qualification
• Ability to inspect completed work and maintain high standards of quality

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous Welder/Fabricator experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• FLT licence would be beneficial
• Experience with stainless steel TIG welding
