Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder/Fabricator with experience working with aluminum to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on aluminum components ranging from 2mm to 5mm thickness
• Carry out fabrication tasks including cutting, forming, and assembling parts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Ensure all work is completed to specification, maintaining high-quality standards
• Operate hand tools and workshop machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• Conduct basic quality checks on completed welds and fabrications
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in MIG welding, particularly with aluminum
• Strong fabrication skills and ability to work with sheet metal (2–5mm)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a workshop environment
• Comfortable working rotational shifts (6–2 / 2–10)
• Good attention to detail, work ethic, and time management skills
• NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in welding/fabrication is preferred
