Job summary

Aspion is recruiting a Welder Fabricator in Mansfield with a strong background in MIG welding and sheet metal fabrication. You will read engineering drawings, set up fabrication equipment and produce components to high-quality standards in a busy shop environment.

You'll work Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm and Friday 7:00am-2:30pm, with pay £16.00-£16.50 per hour depending on experience and DOE. Collaborative teamwork and strict adherence to health and safety rules are essential to meet

Qualifications

• Previous experience in welding and fabrication.
• Good MIG welding experience.
• Experience working with steel sections and sheet metal.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Confident using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
• Good measuring skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining quality and health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal components and assemblies, primarily using sheet metal and steel sections.
• Carry out MIG welding and other welding techniques as required.

• Measure, cut, shape and assemble materials accurately.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete fabrication work.

The Role

The role will involve MIG welding and fabricating components, primarily working with sheet metal and steel sections. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working from engineering drawings, using fabrication tools and ensuring all work is completed to the required standard.
