Job summary

Aspion is recruiting a Welder Fabricator in Mansfield to join a well-established manufacturing team. The role involves MIG welding and fabricating components from sheet metal and steel, reading engineering drawings, and working to high quality standards.

You will use fabrication tools, measure and cut materials, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting production requirements with your colleagues. Hours: Mon–Thu 7:00–15:30, Fri 7:00–14:30; Pay £16.00–£16.50 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding and fabrication.
• Good MIG welding experience.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience with steel sections and sheet metal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal components and assemblies, primarily using sheet metal and steel sections.
• Carry out MIG welding and other welding techniques as required.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble materials accurately.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete fabrication work.
• Carry out quality checks on finished products.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow relevant health and safety procedures.
• Work alongside colleagues to meet production requirements.
