Job description

Job Title: Experienced MIG Welder

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a prestigious engineering company in Leicester on a full-time basis.

The Role:

• Welding and fabricating mild steel components within the in-house workshop.
• Working from engineer drawings to produce bespoke products.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm or 7:30am-4:30pm, with the option of overtime.

Pay Rate:

• £13.65 to £14.20 per hour, depending on experience (minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to qualify for the higher pay rate).
• Overtime paid at time and a half.

Candidates must have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience to be considered for the higher salary.
• Experience with MIG welding and production welding.
• Experience working in steel fabrication to tight tolerances.
• An engineering background.
• NVQ 2 in welding or similar (preferred).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work from technical drawings (advantage).
• Ability to work from own initiative and report issues to the supervisor.
