Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking an experienced MIG Welder in Haverhill to join a specialist engineering team. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' MIG welding experience.
• Previous heavy-gauge welding experience.
• Fabrication experience.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Welding apprenticeship or qualification would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated, reliable and hardworking.
• Good common sense and a willingness to learn and progress.

Job description

An established engineering specialist in Haverhill is looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join their team. This role would suit a skilled MIG Welder with strong fabrication experience who is looking for a permanent opportunity with a company that offers good earning potential and opportunities to progress.

Working with heavy-gauge materials, you'll be responsible for MIG welding, fabrication and fitting of various products. The role offers £16.00-£18.00 p/hour, with the opportunity for further salary increases following a successful probation period.

MIG Welder Duties

• MIG welding heavy-gauge materials, including 10mm+
• Reading and interpreting engineering/CAD drawings
• Fabrication using various machinery, including drills, saws and grinders
• Stripping down and fitting products
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and specification

Pay, Hours & Benefits

• Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
• £16.00 - £18.00 p/hour, depending on experience
• Permanent position, after successfully passing a 3 month probation
• Opportunity for further salary increases after probation
