Job summary

Bec Recruitment.Co.Uk is seeking skilled MIG welders for a major structural steel producer in the UK. This day-shift role focuses on heavy plate welding and structural joints, with flux-core welding an advantage and stringent quality requirements.

You must be legally allowed to work in the UK, have NVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship background, and pass a drug/alcohol test on day one. Hours: Mon-Thu 7:00–16:45; OT Fri–Sun; 25 days holiday and a company pension.

Qualifications

• 4 years MIG welding experience preferred.
• Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 preferred.
• Flux core welding experience advantageous.
• Must be able to lay fillet and multi-run fillets.
• Welds will be inspected by NDT.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel using MIG on heavy plates.
• Work solo or as part of a team in a safe environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and wear PPE.

Skilled structural steel Mig welders required.

I am recruiting for welders for days.

My client is one of the biggest producers of structural steel throughout Europe.

They have many facilities in the UK, India and Singapore.

My client deals in many sectors including Nuclear, Energy, oil & gas, Infrastructure and retail.

After securing more work and having a very healthy order book they now wish to employ more structural steel welders.

Heavy plate experience and structural steel welding preferred.

The Mig welder-Requirements----

Flux core welding an advantage

Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 preferred.

The Mig welder-Excellent ability with MIG welding process.

The Mig welder-Must be able to put down fillet and multi run fillets.

The MIg welder- have the ability to weld butts to a high standard.

Welds will be subject to NDT.

Work on your own or part of a team.

Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.

Wear the appropriate PPE at all times.

Punctual.

Job Type: Full-time

Hours Mon to Thursday 7am to 4.45pm

Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all overtime days.
