Winner Recruitment is recruiting experienced MIG Welders for a permanent role in Barnsley. The position offers a guaranteed starting salary and an OTE package with overtime and bonuses in a modern manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

  • Experience in MIG welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components.
  • Manufacture products to engineering drawings and company quality standards.
  • Operate welding equipment and automated manufacturing machinery where required.
  • Use jigs and assembly fixtures to produce consistent, high-quality components.
  • Carry out visual quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specification.
  • Work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area while adhering to all health and safety procedures.

About the Role

Winner Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturing business in Barnsley to recruit experienced MIG Welders to join their growing team.

Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you\'ll be responsible for producing high-quality welded and fabricated components to company standards while working as part of a skilled production team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Carry out MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components.

  • Manufacture products to engineering drawings and company quality standards.

  • Operate welding equipment and automated manufacturing machinery where required.

  • Use jigs and assembly fixtures to produce consistent, high-quality components.

  • Carry out visual quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specification.

  • Work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Maintain a clean and organised work area while adhering to all health and safety procedures.


About You

The successful candidate will have:



  • Previous experience in MIG welding and fabrication.

  • Experience working with mild steel.

  • The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

  • Experience using jigs and assembly fixtures.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

  • A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • TIG welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.


Working Hours

Day Shift



  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm

  • Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm


OR


Rotating Shifts



  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm

  • Friday: 6:00am - 11:30am / 11:30am - 5:00pm


A shift allowance of 15% is paid on the rotating shift pattern.


Salary


  • Guaranteed starting salary of £36,150 per annum

  • OTE of £36,150 - £41,060

  • Overtime paid at enhanced rates:

    • Time and a half

    • Double time


  • Monthly performance bonus

  • Structured pay progression based on skills and development
