South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Midwives to join our Maternity Services across Warwickshire, including hospital and Birth Centre settings. You will work a normal roaster pattern and participate in all shifts to provide comprehensive maternity care for mothers and babies.

Job description

To work in all areas of Maternity Servicesat SWFTfulfilling a normal roster pattern, working all shifts throughout the week to provide all aspects of maternity careto mothers and babies.

To ensure the maintenance of high standard of midwifery care at all times.

To act as a lead professional where appropriate in planning and evaluating care in partnership with the woman for both her baby and referring when necessary.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication, who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to the provision of a high quality service, ideally with a background in community but not essential.

Around 3400 babies a year are born at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and we are proud to have been at the forefront of successful service improvements and developments including work with the Department of Health, Better Births and Baby Friendly Initiative.

We are proud of our Bluebell Birth Centre that is the place of birth for around 12 % of our women each year. Our Practice Team Midwives hold a community caseload and undertake low risk intrapartum care in our Birth Centre. We do not have an oncall system.

We have an exciting opportunity for midwives to join one of our Practice teams., Come and join a Trust rated Outstanding by the CQC. South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust have been rated as outstanding following our latest inspection by the CQC and we are recruiting new staff to come and help us improve even further. In addition our staff survey results have placed us 4th in the country for recommended place to work.

We provide services across Warwickshire and beyond ranging from Hospitals in Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa and Shipston-on Stour to Community Services across the county.
