Gastronomous Ltd in London is seeking a talented Midweight Designer to join our team and help shape how experiences come to life visually, across agency projects, client programmes and events.
You will work with events, marketing and partnerships to create thoughtful, beautifully executed design across print and digital touchpoints. A 3–5 year track record and strong Adobe Creative Suite skills are required; Figma and After Effects are a plus.
Gastronomous is an experiential marketing agency creating remarkable events and programmes across food, culture, travel and lifestyle.
Based in London and operating across EMEA, we create and deliver more than 250 experiences each year, working with some of the world’s leading brands and loyalty programmes.
Our work ranges from intimate dinners with celebrated chefs and one-off cultural experiences to large-scale restaurant festivals, international travel programmes and major brand activations. We work across the entire experience - from the initial idea and creative concept through to partnerships, marketing, guest communications and delivery.
At the heart of what we do is a belief that great experiences create stronger connections between brands and their customers.
We're now looking for a talented Midweight Designer to join our team and help shape how those experiences come to life visually, as well as supporting the growth of the company's own brand and channels.
This is a varied, hands-on design role working across Gastronomous as an agency, our client programmes and our events.
You'll work closely with our events, marketing and partnerships teams to create thoughtful, beautifully executed design across both physical and digital touchpoints.
We're looking for someone with strong graphic design credentials who is equally comfortable thinking about how a brand appears on a screen, at an event and across a campaign.
You'll design creative across a broad mix of projects, including:
You'll also help us develop and maintain the visual identity of Gastronomous itself, bringing consistency and fresh thinking to how we present the company across our website, social channels, credentials and other communications.
You're a thoughtful and versatile designer with a strong eye for typography, layout, imagery and detail.
You enjoy working across different formats rather than specialising in just one area, and you understand that a beautifully designed menu, an Instagram story and a landing page all need slightly different thinking.
3-5 years' experience in a design, creative or brand environment, whether agency-side, in-house or a combination of the two.
A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent graphic design and art direction across both print and digital.
Very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience designing for social and digital channels.
An understanding of web and digital design, including responsive design and UX/UI principles. Experience with tools such as Figma would be a real advantage.
Experience creating motion graphics or animation - whether in After Effects or another tool - would also be a big plus.
An understanding of print production and confidence preparing artwork for printers and suppliers.
Most importantly, you'll have good creative judgement, curiosity and an eye for the details that make something feel considered.
We're a relatively small team delivering ambitious projects, so this role will suit someone who likes variety and is comfortable taking ownership.
You should be able to take a brief and run with it, while also enjoying collaboration with the wider team. You'll need to move comfortably between projects and clients, respond well to feedback and maintain a high standard even when timelines are tight.
An interest in food, restaurants, travel, culture, hospitality and experiences would be particularly welcome. Much of our work sits in these worlds, so genuine curiosity about them will make the role considerably more rewarding.
We don't expect you to arrive knowing everything. If your graphic design foundations are excellent and you're keen to develop further in areas such as digital, web and motion, we'd still like to hear from you.
