Midweight Interior Designer

This role is suited to a dynamic designer who enjoys being exposed to the full design process. You would be joining a small team and working at pace on creative international restaurant and bar projects from start to finish. Ideas and input will be expected and welcomed. With numerous exciting projects extending across the hospitality sector, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a blossoming team where you will be very hands on. This would suit a self‑motivated team player with a positive, communicative, and collaborative approach who is always looking to develop their skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead or work on multiple F&B projects in the UK and abroad
  • Develop strong concepts with clear core ideas and rationale
  • Develop narratives and storytelling moments that engage people
  • Create palettes and source materials for design projects
  • Design layouts and spatial arrangements that focus on the guest experience
  • Develop joinery details that suit the project needs and aspirations
  • Produce or review detailed drawing packages and FF&E specifications, complete with technical requirements
  • Assist and mentor junior designers
  • Gather information for project budgets, including on‑site and virtual meetings
  • Liaise with consultants and contractors
  • Report to the Senior Designer on projects or the Design Director
  • Sometimes take a Project Lead role
Required Skills & Experience
  • Varied and detailed experience working on restaurant, hospitality and/or retail projects
  • Confident in designing and running projects under the direction of senior team members
  • All‑round designer with experience from concept to completion
  • Creativity, flair and passion for great quality interior design
  • Ability to share your passion and motivate others
  • Organised, efficient and deadline‑driven
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Autonomous and self‑motivated
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable, keen to work as part of a team
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to create detailed drawing packages
  • Experience producing detailed FF&E specifications with costings, materials, finishes and schedules
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and SketchUp
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and producing client presentations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited school
  • Proof of right to work in the UK

The successful candidate will be attached to our Covent Garden Studio in London for three days per week. We work remotely some of the time in a hybrid model.
