Craft Agency Ltd seeks a midweight designer to lead brand and typography, delivering visual systems from concept to completion.
You will work across brand narrative, graphic design, motion, and interface, collaborating with motion, 3D and creative coding specialists. The role involves pitches and a hands-on approach to projects.
This is the design-led team inside the world’s largest independent design consultancy, a partner-owned practice with studios in five cities across three continents.
The work is deliberately unsorted, all held together by a single conviction that design leads the argument rather than dresses it. What you learn making an exhibition ends up in an AI research lab, and it travels the other way just as often. The recent client list runs from frontier tech and robotics through gaming and cultural institutions to fashion and luxury. That breadth, at midweight level, is hard to find anywhere else.
You’ll take briefs from initial concept to completion, building visual systems that adapt and behave, carrying each idea across brand narrative, graphic design, motion and interface. You’ll own briefs end-to-end and know when to come back for direction.
Your core is brand and typography, laid out to a high standard, with motion fluency you’re actively growing. You’ll work alongside two Producers, five Designers, two Motion Designers and a Team Assistant, and collaborate with motion, 3D and creative coding specialists. You’ll contribute to pitches too – new business comes round more often than you’d expect.
You’re roughly three to six years in – we’re looking for a midweight measured by autonomy, not years. You work now at a studio that takes systems and craft seriously, and your portfolio mixes commercial brand work, conceptual thinking and self-initiated projects.
Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects are used daily. Additional desirable skills the team uses are Cinema 4D, Blender, Glyphs, Houdini, Unity, Unreal, and a lot of front-end code. Even if you don’t use the other software daily, you’ll be the type of person who is open to teaching yourself new tools without being asked – curiosity is key!
