Job summary

Lifeways Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of specialist support services, seeks a Specialist Support Trainer to equip staff with essential skills from induction to refresher training. The role focuses on Positive Behaviour Support, physical intervention training aligned with RN Training Standards, and person-specific conditions.

You will collaborate with the Practitioner to identify needs and design targeted training solutions, with travel to Coventry, Northampton and Birmingham and

Qualifications

• 2+ years in support or care roles in health care, social care or education.
• Awareness of Positive Behaviour Support concepts and strategies.
• Experience delivering training solutions or coaching/teaching from social care or educational background.
• Strong training delivery and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and inspiring learners to achieve and develop knowledge and skills.
• Planning and delivering effective learning activities for diverse groups in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Promoting diverse learning approaches to match learners and organisation.
• Demonstrating understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and least restrictive practices.
• Supporting learners with specific needs and overcoming barriers to learning.
• Empowering learners to take responsibility for their learning and set meaningful goals.
• Providing constructive, timely feedback to learners and Operational Managers.
