Job summary

The Cotswold Company is seeking a Depot Manager to run our Midlands home delivery operation, leading drivers, warehouse staff and shift supervisors. You will ensure safe, compliant operations, manage costs and drive consistent, high-quality deliveries that reflect our premium furniture brand.

With proven depot management experience and a CPC, you’ll plan routes, monitor KPIs and coach a team focused on service excellence. A strong IT capability and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven transport or depot management experience with applicable CPC.
• A full, clean UK driving licence held at least 12 months.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and confident IT skills.
• Natural leader who coaches and develops the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day depot operations including drivers, warehouse operatives and shift supervisors.
• Report to Transport Manager; ensure depot safety and compliance; monitor costs.
• Plan routes, review KPIs and optimise delivery performance.
• Hands-on duties on the depot floor: loading vehicles and running morning debriefs.
• Lead, motivate and develop the depot team to deliver high-quality service.
