Job summary

Rentokil Initial Group is seeking an Asbestos Operative to cover the Midlands region on a full-time, permanent basis. You will perform asbestos removal, encapsulation and environmental cleaning while strictly following Plans of Work, UK legislation, and DCUK FM/SOP health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Great communication and customer service skills with a keen, enthusiastic and friendly approach.
• 1+ years experience removing asbestos is advantageous but not essential
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is preferred but not essential
• Asbestos Awareness Training is preferred but not essential
• A can-do attitude and the ability to use your own initiative
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for

Responsibilities

• Performing asbestos removal, encapsulation, and environmental cleaning within the Utilities Sector.
• Adhering strictly to Plans of Work, current UK legislation, specifications, and RI/SOPs and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Following directives from the Asbestos Removal Supervisor.
• Ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and care of PPE, RPE, and asbestos removal plant and equipment; report malfunctions.
