Job summary

Rentokil Initial is seeking an Asbestos Operative to cover the Midlands region. The role offers a competitive basic salary with DOE, a company vehicle, fuel card, mobile, uniform and RI Rewards. It is a full-time permanent position with a 40-hour week, potentially up to 50 hours on projects.

The successful candidate will remove asbestos, encapsulate and clean environment while following safety plans, laws, and Rentokil procedures, reporting issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience in asbestos removal is advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK manual driving licence preferred but not essential.
• Asbestos awareness training preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos removal, encapsulation and environmental cleaning within the Utilities Sector.
• Adhere to Plans of Work, UK legislation, specifications and DCUK FM Ltd SOPs and HSE guidelines.
• Follow directives from the Asbestos Removal Supervisor.
• Ensure proper use and care of PPE, RPE and asbestos removal plant and report malfunctions.

We are currently seeking an Asbestos Operative to join our dedicated team, covering the Midlands.

The Role

Your role as an Asbestos Operative will involve covering a dedicated geographical area and providing support to our customers by resolving their asbestos issues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing asbestos removal, encapsulation, and environmental cleaning within the Utilities Sector.
• Adhering strictly to the issued Plans of Work, current UK legislation, comprehensive specifications, and the DCUK FM Ltd Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Following directives from the Asbestos Removal Supervisor.
• Ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and care of all provided Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protective Equipment, and Asbestos Removal plant and equipment, immediately reporting any malfunctions or defects.

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience removing asbestos is advantageous but not essential
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is preferred but is not essential
• Asbestos Awareness Training is preferred but not essential
• A can-do attitude, and the ability to use your own initiative
• Great communication and customer service skills with a keen, enthusiastic and friendly approach
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
