Job summary

Beaminster St Mary's Academy in Beaminster, England is seeking a Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team. You will Safeguard children during lunchtime, help with serving and tidying, and encourage positive play in a safe environment.

The role is 10 hours per week, mid-day to 2pm, term time only. You should build rapport with children, work well in a team, communicate effectively, and follow school health and safety policies while promoting the school's Christian ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguarding children during the lunchtime period
• Clearing and tidying away after lunch
• Distributing lunches to children
• Encouraging positive play and interaction among the children

You Should

• Be able to build a strong and appropriate rapport with children
• Demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful team
• Have effective communication skills
• Be able to support children in their play, while maintaining the children's safety and following the school's behaviour guidelines
• Be able to demonstrate good food hygiene practices and follow the school health and safety policies
• Be committed to promoting the school's Christian ethos and values

Hours: 10 hours per week from midday to 2pm, term time only.
