Job summary

Beaminster St Mary’s Academy is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team. The role covers safeguarding during lunchtime, distributing meals, and supporting children in play within a warm, faith-based school community.

The successful candidate will clear away after lunch, maintain safety, and promote positive interactions among pupils. Hours are 12 noon to 2 pm, term time only, with references requested for shortlisting.

Qualifications

• Experience of safeguarding children is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow school policies.

• Awareness of food hygiene practices and health and safety guidelines.

Midday Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our friendly and professional team at Beaminster St Mary's Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

Safeguarding children during the lunchtime period

Clearing and tidying away after lunch

Distributing lunches to children

Encouraging positive play and interaction among the children

You should:

• Be able to build a strong and appropriate rapport with children;
• Demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful team;
• Have effective communication skills;
• Be able to support children in their play, while maintaining the children's safety and following the school's behaviour guidelines;
• Be able to demonstrate good food hygiene practices and follow the school health and safety policies
• Commitment to promoting the school's Christian ethos and values

Hours - 10 hours per week from 12noon to 2pm, term time only.
